April 2013 Glambag!!!

Welp, Ipsy has done it again! I received my April 2013 Glam Bag and I love it!!
The theme for this month was Pretty in Pink. I love this theme mainly because pink is my favorite color! They did a great job sticking with the theme as everything was literally pink. Starting with the bag itself the outside was white with a pink zipper and the inside had pink and white stripes with Ipsy written in pink. The bag came with 4 deluxe products.

1. Mineral Eyeshadow- Mica Beauty Cosmetics
I've had some time to play around with this eyeshadow and I'm not a huge fan of it. It doesn't show up well on my skin. I used a primer to boost the color and tried to build it up with several layers. Even still you could barely tell I was wearing it. The color is called earth. It's a shimmery metallic-like pink. The color is very pretty just not great for all skin tones.

2. Sexy Hair Soy Renewal-Sexy Hair Products
I haven't tried this product yet because I haven't had time to wash my hair. I did open it though and I like the way it smells. I really wanted the Soy Renewal over the Powder Play because I think it will be more beneficial for my hair. My hair is dry and damaged and added volume to it is not a concern of mine at this time. The Soy Renewal has argan oil in it which is supposed to be great for dry damaged hair so I'm looking forward to trying it out.

3."Of Corset I'll Call You"- Sation Nail Laquer
I absolutely love this polish! The color I received is called "Of Corset I'll Call You!" It's a beautiful light pink and perfect for the spring! I actually created a "look" for it and entered it in the Spring Nails Challenge on Ipsy's website. (You can vote for it here: http://www.ipsy.com/look/l-hfpkglxnb7l1267/Cherry_Blossoms_Spring_Nails_3). It took 3 coats to get to the shade that I wanted, but it was well worth it.

4. Beach Please- Be A Bombshell Blush
I'm not a huge blush girl so I don't own many colors, especially not pinks. So when I pulled out blush from my bag I was excited to give it a try. It is extremely pigmented! A little really goes a long way! The color is pretty and very pink. I tried it with a "look" yet, but I did put some on my cheeks just to see what the color was like. I can't wait to put together a "look" once I have some free time. I like it so much though that I'm actually considering ordering a different color!

I was very impressed with this bag and for the most part love all of the items that I received. I really wanted to try the Two Cosmetics dual eyeshadow, but received the Mica one instead. I did however, order the Two Cosmetics one because I really want to try. Once I get it I'll do a Mica vs. Two Cosmetics post.
Another thing that really impressed me this time around was the great customer service Ipsy provided. Apparently some of the bags were not made to their standards so some of us received the bags from March 2012. In our bags (and with our tracking info) Ipsy let us know that we would be receiving the April bag with our bags next month! So I pretty much got an extra bag for free! I would've much preferred to receive the correct bag the first time, but I'm pleased with the way that Ipsy handled the situation.

Xoxo,
