Studio Gear Holiday Smokey Eye Palette*

Hello my beauties! Today I have another review for you! I want to tell you about the Studio Gear Holiday Smokey Eye Palette. Smokey eyes are perfect for the holiday season and with Christmas coming up I wanted to share this with you!

The packaging is perfect for travel. It's small and compact. When you open the palette up the top has a how-to guide to getting the perfect smokey eye look! I like that they actually have the guide printed on the palette as it can be difficult to keep up with the card inserts.

This palette comes with four eyeshadow shades and one blush. The eyeshadows are all shimmery neutrals. The layout of the palette is nice. The blush is in the center surrounded by the shadows. The shadows are: frost, a shimmery white; coal, a shimmery silver; glimmer, a shimmery gold; and platinum, a shimmery black. The blush is called snowy glow and is a pretty shade of pink!

I used the palette to create a look and I must say that I'm not too impressed. I love the colors in the pans, but once I put them on I wasn't loving them. I used my Urban Decay Primer Potion to get the best pigmentation that I could. I just felt like I didn't get much color payoff from them. I've seen some other looks from this palette and they were gorgeous, so I was a bit disappointed when I didn't love my look.

My favorite part of the palette is the blush. I felt like it gave my cheeks a natural pink glow! It was really sweet and subtle and will be perfect for soft looks. I paired my look with red lips just because I thought it was fitting for the holiday.

I'm honestly not sure if I'd recommend this palette to anyone else or not. As I said earlier, I saw looks done by others and they looked great. But I don't like it on my skin. I'm definitely going to play with it some more and try using it with other colors to see if that maybe helps.
