Birchbox August 2014

Wohoo! I finally got my August Birchbox! I was one of the lucky subscribers to snag an Everygirl box this month and boy am I excited about it! For those of you unfamiliar with Birchbox, it is a lifestyle subscription service. For $10/month (with free shipping!) you will receive 4-5 goodies that are selected just for you from your beauty profile! If you are interested in Birchbox you can sign up here*. Let's take a look at what I received!

This month I received 5 products. They are listed in no particular order.
1. Acure Organics Brightening Facial Scrub
I haven't tried this yet, but I'm always on the lookout for a good facial scrub. This product is great for anyone looking for something cruelty free. This product is also paraben-free, sulfate-free, vegan, PEG free, petroleum free, phthalate free, silicon free, and gluten free!
Cost: $14.99/full-size
2. Number 4 Super Comb Prep & Protect
This is a "sulfate-free leave-in conditioner that safeguards color, strengthens, and nourishes." I'm not sure if I'll ever use this or not to be honest.
Cost: $32/full-size
3. Harvey Prince Hello Perfume
This is a perfume that has a mix of citrus and floral for a light scent. I spritzed a bit of it and liked the smell. It's not overpowering and a little will go a long way.
Cost: $26/full-size
4. Not Soap, Radio Happiness Inducing Body Wash
This body wash is paraben-free and comes in the cutest packaging! You can also use this for a bubble bath and it smells good!
Cost: $16/full-size
5. Benefit Cosmetics They're Real! Push-Up Liner
This is a new gel liner by Benefit that was designed to hug your lashes tighter than a girdle! I was super excited to receive this, but I am a bit disappointed. The sample tube sucks! It took me about 5 minutes to figure out how to get the product out and once I finally got it out it was a bit clumpy. I couldn't get it to go on smooth and it was just a big headache. I was really hoping that the sample would help me decide to go ahead and purchase the full-size, but it didn't. I'm conflicted because I love Benefit products and want to add this to my collection, but I would hate to spend the money on it and not like it. Ugh...decisions, decisions....
Cost: $24/full-size
That's it for the products that I received, but I have one last thing to share! The box also came with an invitation to enter to win a Beauty Bash compliments of Birchbox and Benefit!
The party is in honor of the new They're Real! Push-Up Liner. Winners will receive a party pack full of samples to share with five of their friends! Ipsy did a similar contest last year except it was in honor of They're Real! Mascara instead. I won a party last year and received tons of full-sized Benefit products plus a bunch of samples for my friends! I'm posting this late so entry to the contest is over, but I want to wish luck to everyone that entered!
Have a wonderful day!!
